For the first time the BTechPro! conference is moving out of Riga! The scientific sessions of the conference will be held in Sigulda - one of the most beautiful cities of Latvia.
Here is the invitation from the Chair of the BTechPro2026 Scientific Committee Dr.sc.ing. Janis Rizikovs:
"Dear guests and participants of the BTechPro! conference,
It is my great pleasure to invite you to Sigulda, my hometown and one of Latvia’s most captivating destinations. Nestled in the breathtaking Gauja River Valley, often called the Switzerland of Vidzeme, Sigulda is a place where history, nature, and innovation come together.
From the medieval charm of Turaida and Krimulda to the thrill of winter sports on the world-class bobsleigh and luge track, Sigulda embodies both tradition and an active spirit. It is home to the first STEAM education center in Latvia, inspiring young minds through science and technology. Whether exploring ancient castles, enjoying the opera festival, or experiencing the adrenaline of Aerodium and bungee jumping, Sigulda offers something truly unique.
We have chosen Sigulda as the venue of the BTechPro2026 conference because of its convenient location, beautiful scenery, and, coincidentally, the significance of the forestry sector in the economics of Sigulda Municipality.
As the chair of the BTechPro2026 Scientific Committee, I encourage you to take part in all the conference activities. You can expect opportunities to learn new skills in workshops, broaden your perspective during plenary lectures, gain presentation experience in front of a full auditorium, and build your professional network during the social activities, which will allow you to experience the culture and nature of Latvia.
I look forward to welcoming you to this fascinating setting, where science and nature meet to inspire new ideas and collaborations. See you in Sigulda!
Best regards,
Dr.sc.ing. Jānis Rižikovs
