The Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry is one of the leading lignocellulosic biomass research centres in the Baltic region. The institute combines long standing scientific traditions and modern approaches to studies of wood and other biomass conversion. Fundamental research is the central pillar, which supports applied research and ensures technology transfer from laboratory to pilot scale. More about the institute on www.kki.lv
The institute has successful previous experience of hosting international events (the International Conference on Renewable Resources and Biorefineries 2023, 10th Conference on Green Chemistry and Nanotechnologies in Polymeric Materials GCNPM 2019, 12th Annual Meeting of the Northern European Network for Wood Science and Engineering WSE 2016, 5th European Conference on Wood Modification ECWM 2010, COST action seminars, and others), including the first BTechPro! conference in 2022.
