Welcome reception

Welcome reception on the first day of the BTechPro2024 conference took place at the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry. After an exciting day of workshops and tours around the institute’s research facilities, the participants enjoyed an evening buffet with drinks, provided by Doctor Chef catering and Teikas Alus brewery, and take part in easy-going social activities.

The social and networking activities were supported by Armgate, a valued partner and provider of laboratory equipment from world's leading manufacturers.

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner was held on April 25, 2024 at the art inspired restaurant Niklāvs on Mārstaļu Str 1 in Old Riga.

Best Scientific Picture Contest

The participants of the BTechPro2024 conference were encouraged to submit their science related artwork – be it a photo, drawing, fancy graph or any other creative picture. The submitted scientific pictures (Sci-Pi) were displayed at the conference venue and all attendees voted for their favourite one.

Six wonderful artworks were submitted for the contest, and the Sci-Pi Award went to Sharib Khan for his picture "Lignin inside and outside of the Wood"
